What Network Marketing Stories Are You Sharing?

By Jane Avery

Those of us who are network marketers are always sharing our success stories. Almost always these stories focus on the products or services that we are marketing. This is important. After all, product sales drive the industry. Still, all too often, we fail to tell the story of the Company behind these products and services.

Here we must be honest with ourselves and everyone we talk to. Even if our products are the most unique, most original, least expensive, almost miracle-working products, we will not, and cannot, become successful building our businesses unless, and until, we are building with a Company that has integrity, puts their distributors first, and has a compensation plan that works for our specific situation.

We have all been in that situation where we were recruited into a company by a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or just someone we met online, and we didn’t bother to read, with understanding, all that fine print of the policies and procedures. We simply clicked the ‘I Agree’ button, and quickly moved on to become affiliated with yet another company. What we heard sounded so good, we failed to perform the ‘do diligence’ that takes time and effort, but is so very necessary. All too soon we found that this was not ’multiple income streams’ but rather ‘multiple outgoing rivers‘. Our closets and garages were becoming filled with products as we faithfully followed instructions for monthly qualification and watched in horror as our credit cards overran their limits.

Regardless of all the network marketing failures, there is hope and wonderful business building opportunities in this arena. There are good companies that have integrity, and quality products, who value their distributors. Companies who respect part-time people and have compensation plans that encourage everyone to grow and profit at their own pace and ability. Companies that understand the value of retailing products and thus encourage and promote this important aspect of every network marketing business.

If you are NOT sharing the good news about your company, are you building with the right company. Have you read your policies and proceeds? Do you know if you are building for success or for failure?

There are mentors with information and life experiences who are available to assist in helping network marketers become skilled in the knowledge and tools they need to become successful. Failing to succeed as a network marketer may not be your fault. It could be your lack of knowledge in choosing a company where you can become part of a success building team and find your own rewarding opportunity.

If you are a frustrated network marketer, help is available. Get the facts and begin building company stories as well as product stories to pave your way to success.
